Another semester flies by!

A very first semester for some – the end of a period in one’s life for others.
Congratulations to both!

Budapeststudent.com has been on holiday, but I am in back in action now!

I have tried to sum up some of the important happenings for students at Semmelweis University thus far this semester.

Freshman’s Day

First I want to sum up some of the great happenings in the student community at Semmelweis University this Fall.

It all started when the International Student Association of Semmelweis (ISAS) had a great freshman’s day in September.

More pictures can be found by befriending ISAS on Facebook.

Rebusløp 2011

The Association of Norwegian Students Abroad (ANSA) had their annual welcome party in each of the four university cities (Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged and Pécs). Always a great success!

For more pictures, join the ANSA Budapest Facebook group.

ANSA Hungary sports day

ANSA Hungary has also arranged the annual sports day. The best part about the sports day is that all the contestants dress up!

Romania Project

ANSA Hungary established this project in 2006 and is now well known among most of the Semmelweis University students. They had a trip to Romania Sep 30th – Oct 3rd.

To read more about this project, read more on its website ANSA Students help students.

New ISAS Chairman

And ISAS has elected a new chairman. Their new chairman is Charlie Attariani and I wish him the best of luck in his new job.

Lots of parties

In addition to this there has been lots of parties. The Norwegian students have their Stammtisch and pubquiz, and there are lots of theme parties during the Fall (Halloween etc.)
Maor Leibzon is the guy to ask when it comes to parties mixing internationals and Hungarians:)

And what about the rest of this semester?

Closer working relationship between ISAS and Budapeststudent.com, and ANSA and Budapeststudent.com. More coming!

The things you can expect in the months to come:

  • More pictures from Budapest and stories from my time there
  • More information about my work as a turnus doctor and now a resident in surgery
  • Updated topic lists and notes (for this I need YOUR help, too!)
  • Review of books, apps and useful websites for your studies
  • More information about the other university cities (Debrecen, Szeged and Pécs)
  • And lots more!
