Books to read before a new semester

We are closing in on a new semester at Semmelweis University. My summer was spent working, travelling to Asia and reading some fantastic books.

The book that made the strongest impression on me was:

The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer
By Siddhartha Mukherjee

You can read more about dr Mukherjee and his book here: An Oncologist Writes ‘A Biography Of Cancer’

After finishing this majestic piece of work I realized dr Mukherjee was awarded the Pulitzer Prize (named after a Hungarian!) for 2011: The Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction 2011

For those of you that want to find other great biographies in medicine, I recomment the following page/blog entry:

Let me know if you have any medical books you recommend!
